We need to verify your Child Development\/Early Childhood Education units in order to move forward with your application.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">We are looking for dedicated individual to join our Early Childhood Education team as Associate Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children while supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you bring to the table:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has 12 semester units ECE\/CD, with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC.<\/li>\n<li>Has 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Has an Associate Teacher Permit or higher.<\/li>\n<li>HS\/EHS\/MSHS\/State-Braided Associate Teachers must also meet at least one of the following criteria:\n<ul>\n<li>Have a child development associate (CDA) credential or the California equivalent of a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit at time of hire (12 ECE semester units including core courses; and for EHS and infant\/toddler classrooms must also have 6 infant\/toddler semester units)<\/li>\n<li><strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled in a CDA credential program that will be completed within 2 years;<\/li>\n<li><strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Have an associate or bachelor&#8217;s degree (in any area) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver\u2019s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>As an Associate Teacher with bus duties you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists children safely during boarding, riding, and exiting the bus, including fastening seat belts, maintaining safety, setting limits, keeping children seated, and supporting emergency procedures<\/li>\n<li>Keeps the Bus Driver informed about concerns involving individual children or families<\/li>\n<li>Engages children with age\u2011appropriate activities such as games, songs, and conversation during transportation<\/li>\n<li>Conducts end\u2011of\u2011trip bus inspections by straightening seat belts, removing trash, and checking for children or belongings<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the established seating chart is followed<\/li>\n<li>Releases children only to authorized adults at the end of the day<\/li>\n<li>Verifies all children have been dropped off using sign\u2011in sheets<\/li>\n<li>Provides care and education for children ages 0\u20135 in a positive, engaging learning environment<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities<\/li>\n<li>Assumes Teacher responsibilities when needed, guiding instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment<\/li>\n<li>Supports the planning and delivery of educational activities that promote child development<\/li>\n<li>Participates in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play<\/li>\n<li>Completes pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire<\/li>\n<li>Completes 16 hours of training on preventive health practices and nutrition within the first 30 days of hire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
