Topic areas include access to primary and dental health care, maternal and infant health, behavioral and mental health, healthy eating (including food insecurity), and\/or healthy behaviors (including tobacco use and physical activity). This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.<br \/><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><br \/><strong><u>Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to<\/u>):<\/strong><br \/>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gathers and analyzes data to inform or use in CHA or CHIP assessments, tools, or programs.<br \/>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provides administrative, facilitation, and\/or technical assistance to CHIP implementation workgroups around access to care, maternal and infant health, behavioral and mental health, healthy eating, and\/or other healthy behaviors.<br \/>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists with planning, implementation, and evaluation of external CHIP related activities such as Behavioral Health Resource Fair for intermediaries and community focused events.<br \/>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists with designing, developing, and\/or procuring coalition community engagement materials including social media, newsletters, and websites.<br \/>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Other duties as assigned<br \/><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications<\/u>: <\/strong>Candidate must be completing a degree program in public health or related field.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications<\/u>: <\/strong>Public health research and data analysis skills; ability to develop effective visual and written communication tools; able to keep self and projects organized<br \/><i>\u00a0<\/i><br \/><strong><u>Work Compensation, Schedule, and Duration<\/u>:<\/strong><br \/>The internship is available for <strong>up to 29 hours per week<\/strong> with negotiable start and end dates between <strong>August 17, 2026 and December 31, 2026<\/strong>.<br \/>A <strong>minimum of 10 weeks<\/strong> is required. It will be paid at an hourly rate of <strong>$15 per hour<\/strong> for work performed through <strong>September 30, 2026 <\/strong>(this compensation is grant funded). <strong>After September 30, 2026, the remaining internship hours will be unpaid<\/strong>. Flexible work schedule available between the core site hours of 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday.
