Human Services is recruiting for an Ongoing Child Protective Services Social Worker in the Division of Children and Families.\u00a0 The Social Worker will provide case management and court work for families involved with child protective services.\u00a0 This includes identifying strengths and needs to implement the necessary services to ensure safety within the family home.\u00a0 Minimum Qualifications:\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Social Work from an accredited Social Work degree program is preferred.\u00a0 Must have a bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or other Human Service program and be certified or eligible to obtain certification as a Social Worker.\u00a0 Requires possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver\u2019s License and personal transportation.\u00a0 Starting wage: $31.755 per hour, for certified Social Workers and $29.819 per hour for Case Workers, until certification is obtained. \u00a0All applicants are required to submit the Columbia County application obtained from the County website:\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.co.columbia.wi.us\">https:\/\/www.co.columbia.wi.us<\/a>\u00a0<strong>AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position is in Health and Human Services under the general supervision of the Division Manager.\u00a0 This position is responsible for making independent decisions, conducting assessments, developing service plans, and establishing engagement with individuals and\/or families to create trusting relationships that promote growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Responsible for providing services, counseling, information and case decision making<\/li>\n<li>Participates in an intake process including intake assessment, interviews, home visits, investigations, etc. to determine the range of services needed by individuals and\/or families<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for case management, counseling, screening, providing and assistance with applications for related services<\/li>\n<li>Securing and reviewing appropriate related information such as school reports, psychological evaluations, medical records, employment records or financial information<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships<\/li>\n<li>Procurement and monitoring of necessary client related equipment and services<\/li>\n<li>Participates in conferences concerning complex cases<\/li>\n<li>Attends in-service training, seminars, conferences and workshops to improve their skills<\/li>\n<li>Participates in training on current legislations, administrative rules, program requirements and service deliver will also occur<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records<\/li>\n<li>Make decisions on cases and monitor results of different interventions in order to make recommendations on program or agency policy development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Educational requirements:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, and be certified or certifiable as Social Worker.\u00a0 Completion of the Social Work &#8220;Core&#8221;
