Supports organizational improvement by teaching and participating in the management of resources for patient care.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your role will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Assessing respiratory status<\/strong>\u00a0by performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, and\u00a0determining\u00a0the need for respiratory interventions.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Delivering\u00a0evidence-based therapy<\/strong>\u00a0by providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Managing ventilation and airways<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0assisting\u00a0with artificial airway placement,\u00a0initiating\u00a0and adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,\u00a0monitoring\u00a0patient\u00a0responses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Supporting patients and the care team<\/strong>\u00a0by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Maintaining\u00a0equipment and safety<\/strong>\u00a0by setting up,\u00a0operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What qualifications you will need:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Required Education:\u00a0<\/strong>Associates Degree in Respiratory Care OR Completion of Respiratory Care Program Accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Preferred Education:\u00a0<\/strong>Associates Degree in Respiratory Care OR Completion of Respiratory Care Program Accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and 20 years of experience<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Required License:\u00a0<\/strong>Registered by NBRC; a current North Carolina License issued by North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) and a current BCLS.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Preferred License:\u00a0<\/strong>ACLS, PALS, NRP (Pediatric-Perinatal Specialty)<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Preferred Experience:<\/strong>\u00a02 Years Critical Care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mission Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
