This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting, fixed assets, inventory management, and financial reporting within a dynamic manufacturing environment.<\/p>\n<p>The co-op will assist with the management and control of fixed assets and capital expenditures while supporting process improvements, internal controls, and cross-functional initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and depreciation schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Perform fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation calculations, reconciliations, and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct physical asset inventories, asset verification, and reconcile inventory records to accounting records.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and asset management practices.<\/li>\n<li>Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls related to fixed assets and capital expenditures.<\/li>\n<li>Review capital expenditure requests and supporting documentation for compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports and analyses related to fixed assets, depreciation expense, inventory accounting, and capital spending.<\/li>\n<li>Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with internal and external audits by gathering supporting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams on process improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting and inventory processes.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with special projects and additional finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Required<\/p>\n<p>\u2714 Currently pursuing a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field<br \/>\u2714 Junior or Senior standing preferred<br \/>\u2714 Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills<br \/>\u2714 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy<br \/>\u2714 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis<br \/>\u2714 Strong written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\u2714 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines<\/p>\n<p>Preferred<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coursework in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, or Corporate Finance<\/li>\n<li>Previous internship, co-op, or accounting experience is preferred but not required<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ERP systems such as M3, Microsoft Dynamics, or
