Its mission is to provide courts, legislatures, and engaged citizens with informed perspectives on the right to arms and the right of self-defense.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internship Overview<\/strong><br \/>An internship with the Second Amendment Project offers undergraduate, graduate, and law students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a leading public policy environment. Interns typically serve as research assistants, supporting scholarship and legal analysis while also gaining exposure to nonprofit policy work.<\/p>\n<p>Intern projects vary depending on organizational needs and may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal and historical research.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and editing policy papers, articles, or briefs.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the preparation of amicus briefs.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to cutting-edge scholarly research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Assignments are designed not only to advance the Project\u2019s work but also to help interns grow professionally and academically.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Opportunity<\/strong><br \/>Interns work directly with\u00a0<strong>Dave Kopel<\/strong>, one of America\u2019s top constitutional scholars and a premier expert on the right to arms. Kopel has authored extensively on constitutional, historical, and philosophical issues, served on the oral argument team in\u00a0<i>District of Columbia v.
