This is your chance to create a classroom full of laughter, curiosity, and growth\u2014all while following\u00a0Head Start Program Performance Standards.<\/p>\n<p>And here\u2019s the best part:\u00a0this is a 9-month position with summers off!\u00a0Enjoy a well-deserved break from\u00a0June through mid-August\u00a0to recharge and come back ready to inspire.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.<\/li>\n<li>Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a healthy classroom environment \u2013 including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records, forms and files.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.<\/li>\n<li>High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>A strong understanding of child development.<\/li>\n<li>Infant\/child CPR and First Aid certification.<\/li>\n<li>Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.<\/li>\n<li>Associate\u2019s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.<\/li>\n<li>Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
