A full-time Teacher position is now available at our Scottsburg Head Start Center. \u00a0An associate or a bachelor\u2019s degree in early childhood education, Child Development or a related degree with relevant coursework required. Some of the duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocate for early childhood education through ensuring quality services to children, families and the community-be a liaison for the company and program within the community<\/li>\n<li>Plan daily classroom and playground schedules, routines and transition activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sufficient and proper supervision of all children at the site at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement appropriate curriculum experiences that allow children to explore, experiment, question, observe and play.<\/li>\n<li>Implement individualized instruction<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with all staff to provide for the needs of children in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to all Personnel Policies, Head Start Program Performance Standards and the Policies and Procedures Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize, monitor, and maintain program databases to accurately track child and family information.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct screening and ongoing assessments of children\u2019s development.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and conduct home visits and Parent\/Teacher Conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate knowledge of and approaches to positive guidance and discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage parent and community volunteerism and participate in other activities to generate in-kind.<\/li>\n<li>Provide ongoing communication and information sharing with staff and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Respond competently to each individual family.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Submit timely, neat and accurate reports with appropriate data.<\/li>\n<li>Attend all assigned training and meetings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Must be flexible and willing to adjust work hours as deemed necessary to accommodate families, program activities, and\/or training.<\/li>\n<li>Promote early childhood education through ensuring quality services to children, families and the community.
