The Jill\u2019s House Fellowship is a program for current college graduates to gain experience in their field of study and to make a true difference in the lives of others. \u00a0In addition to hourly pay, Fellows live in paid, fully furnished housing, and participate in sponsored social, professional, and spiritual development outings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff<i>\u201cIf you let it, working at Jill\u2019s House will change your perspective on the population we serve and on the world. If you have a heart for service and a teachable spirit, this is the place for you!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/i>Emily, Fellow 2021-22\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You Can Gain as a Jill\u2019s House Fellow:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Hands-on Experience &amp; Meaningful Work<\/strong>: As a Fellow, you\u2019ll be directly involved in the care of children with intellectual disabilities, engaging them in fun activities and assisting with daily living needs. Fellows typically work about 40 hours per week. But this is not just a job\u2014it\u2019s an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and make a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Professional &amp; Spiritual Growth<\/strong>: Participate in development opportunities designed to help you grow in your career and faith. Past events have included seminars on disability ministry, career planning, resume building, and networking opportunities, as well as visits to specialized facilities and opportunities for spiritual development.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>A Supportive Community<\/strong>: You\u2019ll live in fully furnished, paid housing with other recent college graduates, forging deep connections through group activities, social outings, and time spent together in faith-based fellowship.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Exploration &amp; Adventure<\/strong>: Opportunities to spend time in our Nation\u2019s Capital, visit historic landmarks, explore breathtaking parks and mountains, and enjoy all that the DMV area has to offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead a group of 1-4 individuals through activities like chapel, art, music, gym, and swimming.
