The purpose of the Telecommunicator\/ 911 is to perform emergency communications task for the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

**Dispatchers will work a 4 days on\/2 days off rotating schedule.<\/strong><\/p>\n

**This vacancy is for third shift (10:30pm to 6:30am).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Essential Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 Answer emergency 911 calls from the general public, gather incident information, dispatches the appropriate emergency safety personnel such as police, fire, ambulance and other counties, and enters the call into the computer-aid dispatch (CAD) database for tracking.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Prioritize phone calls based on urgency and maintain telephone contacts with callers during dangerous situations.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Document reports taken regarding juvenile runaways, warrant services, and other important situations, and forward the information to the appropriate personnel.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Utilize the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) Division 131 dispatch center.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Track status of County Deputies, police, and other emergency personnel regarding availability, location, and work schedule.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Provide information to deputies and police regarding outstanding warrants, suspect\/subject data, driver and vehicle information, and complaint investigations.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Enter missing persons, stolen vehicles, guns, articles, and various other items into the Transaction Information for the Management of Enforcement (TIME) System as required by the Wisconsin Department of Justice- Crime Information Bureau.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Monitor National Warning System (NAWAS) weather services, activate warning sirens and issue warnings to emergency personnel in Sauk and surrounding Counties.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assist with setting up transportation for Chapter 51 commitments, inmates, suspects, detainees, and prisoner transports.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Test emergency personnel radio and paging system.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Perform monthly validation of Crime Investigation Bureau\/National Crime Information Center (CIB\/NCIC) Records.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Enter Temporary Restraining Orders and Injunctions into CIB\/NCIC and validate for accuracy.
\u00a0\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0And other duties as assigned

Required Working Hours<\/u><\/strong>
Standard working hours may vary between first shift, second shift, and third shift. Please note these hours are subject to change and additional hours may be needed or required. Emergency on call may be needed. \u00a0Compensation beyond normal hours will be subject to applicable state and federal regulations<\/p>\n
