Do you possess the skills and experience to create a positive impact on the lives of children and youth? Boys &amp; Girls Clubs is seeking a Youth Development Professional \u00a0to join our team. This role requires an in-depth understanding of youth development principles, practical experience in managing group activities for children, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for our club members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that include arts, STEAM, sports, leadership, and healthy lifestyles, incorporating the core areas of BGCA.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and track the success of planned activities and club member engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and organize materials for each program session in advance.<\/li>\n<li>Interact with children to provide guidance, emotional support, and motivation to complete tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment, ensuring COVID guidelines and safety protocols are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Greet and scan members in and out daily to record attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the club and recruit new members by encouraging full participation.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in club events and attend meetings as required.<\/li>\n<li>Engage and build relationships with members and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize social-emotional skills to identify and address behavioral issues and notify the Club Director of any escalating concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a healthy and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols while supervising members in the program area.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor rooms during rotations for any support and safety concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Report and document any club member incidents or accidents.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a productive work environment by keeping an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend necessary requisitions, subject to approval by the Club Director.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of prospective individual donors and corporations, as well as potential foundation and grant opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Record accurate timesheets and obtain necessary approvals daily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of one-year experience in planning and implementing youth programs, activities such as tutoring.<\/li>\n<li>High School Education<\/li>\n<li>Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to be flexible and change\/modify programming based on member feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively with the public.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to grasp new concepts and ideas to then implement at the club.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to organize and supervise club members in a safe environment.<\/li>\n<li>CPR and First Aid Certifications.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>Strong conflict resolution capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Cope and handle high-stress situations.<\/li>\n<li>TB testing is a mandatory requirement for this position, with initial clearance needed prior to employment and renewal certification required every four years.<\/li>\n<li>Required to maintain acceptable fingerprint clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you possess the skills, experience, and passion to make a difference in the lives of children and youth, we invite you to join our team at Boys &amp; Girls Clubs.
