Our interns, who come from varying academic backgrounds and experiences, begin to build a financial planning practice while employing local and nationwide experts, exclusive financial products, and the support of a Fortune 500 company. Interns are trained to investigate each client\u2019s personal needs and build a financial plan that reflects those needs. You will have the opportunity to build your confidence, develop a professional network, and change people\u2019s lives by helping them achieve financial freedom. Here, hard work pays off!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our internship program mimics our full-time Financial Representative role, allowing you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Build your client base through prospecting and networking<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gain exposure to planning software platforms<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Get licensed with your Life, Accident, and Health insurance license<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a Northwestern Mutual intern, you can expect a flexible schedule to work around life and your classes.
