For our North American headquarters,\u00a0located\u00a0in\u00a0La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a\u00a0Software Engineer Intern.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Software Engineer Intern works hands-on in the full software development life cycle, giving you the opportunity to enhance your programming skills, understand system architecture, and collaborate on impactful projects. As an intern, you will actively\u00a0participate\u00a0in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software components, gaining exposure to practical challenges and real-world problem-solving. You will also collaborate with experienced engineers who will mentor you to strengthen your technical\u00a0expertise\u00a0and professional skills, and foundational site reliability engineering (SRE) practices such as\u00a0monitoring\u00a0system health and understanding production behavior.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attributes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High-attention-to-detail with excellent follow through and organizational skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Attention to elegant design, performance, user experience, scalability, clean and documented code is\u00a0required\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of variations on web platforms\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently deal with multiple priorities simultaneously will be the key to success in this position\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A positive attitude\u00a0a must!\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in the conceptualization, design, development,\u00a0testing\u00a0and maintenance of commercial web applications\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate\u00a0with senior developers on various software development projects\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Apply user-centered design principles in software development\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Participate in agile development processes and team meetings\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the improvement of existing software and the creation of new features\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Researching,\u00a0investigating\u00a0and fixing a wide range of technical issues\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support basic SRE activities such as:\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring application logs and dashboards for errors or anomalies\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing system alerts and escalating issues when necessary\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0in tracking service performance, uptime, and reliability metrics\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Helping\u00a0maintain\u00a0documentation for operational procedures and incident handling\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recent graduate of a bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience with various programming languages\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Proficient using Windows and Microsoft Office suite products\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>May be\u00a0required\u00a0to attend and\u00a0participate\u00a0in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/><strong>What IQAir offers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is\u00a0determined\u00a0within a range.\u00a0 The base pay range for this position is\u00a0$27\u00a0and $30\u00a0hourly.
