THEATRE COSTUME & WARDROBE INTERN- Fall 2026<\/p>\n
I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0POSITION OBJECTIVES: To provide excellent technical expertise in the areas of Costume Construction and Wardrobe management for ECCT productions, rentals and special events. To help oversee day to day costume shop operations. To be an active member of the Production Staff, assisting in the areas of hair and makeup and properties as capable.<\/p>\n

Salary\/Benefits:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0$8000 for 16 weeks plus free housing<\/p>\n
Schedule:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0August 31, 2026- December 20, 2026<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full time salaried position; schedule will flex between daytime, evening and weekend hours depending on ECCT production schedule<\/p>\n
III.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:<\/p>\n
Reports to:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Head Costumer<\/p>\n
Head costumer provides day to day supervision and task assignments. Intern is part of the production team attending weekly staff meetings and monthly production meetings. Interns are given design and leadership opportunities based on their skill levels, interests and comfort level.<\/p>\n
Supervises:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Community volunteers<\/p>\n
Coordinates with:\u00a0Costume Shop Manager, Crew Heads<\/p>\n
IV.\u00a0\u00a0POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Working toward or holding BA\/BS in Costume Design, Theatre, Fashion Merchandising or related field desired or comparable experience in the field<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated costume design ability<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Advanced sewing skills appreciated; intermediate accepted<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of theatrical style, conventions and terminology<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong oral communication skills<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Background in or appreciation of theatre<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated ability to recruit and work with volunteers<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to manage several projects simultaneously<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong organizational skills and highly motivated with strong work ethic<\/p>\n

V.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND SAMPLE TASKS:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide costume construction and wardrobe management assistance for 5 ECCT fall shows- COME FROM AWAY, PETE THE CAT, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist with outside rentals and special events like Dancing with the Eau Claire Stars and The Polar Express Pajama Party.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Supervise volunteers on work nights<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Work with properties coordinator on fabric projects<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist with hair and makeup design as able<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Serve on the running crew for shows<\/p>\n VI.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n Submit cover letter and current resume to ECCT by email at info@ecct.org, by mail or in person at 1814 Oxford Ave. Eau Claire WI 54703.
