{"id":24718,"date":"2026-06-30T20:18:42","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T20:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/biking-paddling-intern-july-august-more-if-available\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T08:22:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T12:22:25","slug":"biking-paddling-intern-july-august-more-if-available","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/biking-paddling-intern-july-august-more-if-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Biking &#038; Paddling Intern &#8211; July\/August\/More if available!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Vermont Adaptive is looking for interns that are self-motivated, take initiative and have some experience or desire to learn about working with people who have disabilities and adventure recreation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and instruct biking, climbing and paddling programs for individuals with disabilities. Support sailing programs.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Program Coordinator in overall operations of Vermont Adaptive Programming<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with volunteers, staff and coordinator both within Vermont Adaptive and with partnering organizations<\/li>\n<li>Promote, facilitate and oversee adaptive programs<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and assess repairs for all equipment and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Help with special events throughout the state<\/li>\n<li>Attend and help facilitate volunteer training days<\/li>\n<li>Driving to local trail networks and lift access in Vermont.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All interns must be at least 16 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Clean driving record and reliable transportation<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled in, or recently completed a college\/university track related to outdoor programming, therapeutic recreation, adventure education, special education, physical therapy or related field<\/li>\n<li>First aid and CPR certification required, Wilderness First Responder preferred.
