This part-time opportunity (20 hours\/week) is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on clinical work and working closely with patients and teammates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Makes This Role Stand Out:<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Strong team collaboration in a high-volume clinic<br \/>\u2022 Outpatient orthopedic and ambulatory setting<br \/>\u2022 Flexible schedule \u2014 can be a 3-day or 4-day work week<br \/>\u2022 Must be available to work Mondays and Fridays<br \/>\u2022 Peak patient hours are typically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7:00 AM\u201311:00 AM<\/li>\n<li>2:00 PM\u20137:00 PM<br \/>\u2022 Dedicated documentation time built into the day<br \/>\u2022 Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You&#8217;ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administers active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and heat, light, sound, water, and electrical modality treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, ultraviolet, infrared, and hot and cold packs.<\/li>\n<li>Administers traction to relieve neck and back pain.<\/li>\n<li>Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities.<\/li>\n<li>Observes patients during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on patients&#8217; responses to treatments and progress and reports orally or in writing to Physical Therapist.<\/li>\n<li>Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.<\/li>\n<li>Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.<\/li>\n<li>Performs clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms.<\/li>\n<li>Measures patient&#8217;s range-of-joint motion, length and girth of body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of specific treatments or to assist Physical Therapist to compile data for patient evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>May require other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You&#8217;ll Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associates Degree from an approved\/accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Certified or Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant if applicable in practicing State.<\/li>\n<li>Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical provider is required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services<\/li>\n<li>At least two years\u2019 experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an outpatient orthopedic, occupational health, or other ambulatory care clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in an occupational health clinic preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_ch_employer_id":"13717","_ch_external_id":"11098046","_ch_location_state":"","_ch_location_city":"","_ch_is_ocr_job":"","_ch_expiration_date":"2026-07-04","_ch_apply_link":"https:\/\/monmouth.joinhandshake.com\/jobs\/11098046\/share_preview"},"ch_stakeholder":[],"ch_class_year":[],"ch_job_category":[86],"ch_career_skill":[],"ch_industry":[62],"class_list":["post-23992","ch_job","type-ch_job","status-publish","hentry","ch_job_category-full-time","ch_industry-healthcare-medicine-wellness"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job\/23992","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ch_job"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=23992"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ch_stakeholder","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_stakeholder?post=23992"},{"taxonomy":"ch_class_year","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_class_year?post=23992"},{"taxonomy":"ch_job_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job_category?post=23992"},{"taxonomy":"ch_career_skill","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_career_skill?post=23992"},{"taxonomy":"ch_industry","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_industry?post=23992"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
