We are hoping you will join us as a Supervisor Case Management<\/strong> and help shape the future of healthcare where you’ll be an integral part of our Case Management <\/strong>team, helping to strive for excellence while we serve our member health with dignity, respecting the value and needs of each of our members through collaboration with our providers, community partners and local stakeholders. This position has been approved to be Full Telework<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 If telework is approved, you are required to work within the State of California only and if Partial Telework, also come in to the Main Office in Orange, CA, at least two (2) days per week minimum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Supervisor Case Management will be responsible for the daily operation of case management activities, the implementation of new programs and compliance with regulations. You will provide guidance to staff or will directly handle complex case management referrals. You will be accountable for establishing quality and productivity standards for the team and ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures in collaboration with the manager. You will serve as a resource for CalOptima Health’s providers, health networks and community partners. Together, we are building a stronger, more equitable health system.<\/p>\n

\u2022 50% – Program Support<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals\/priorities for the department.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Oversees the process, management and tracking of case management referrals.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists with the development and oversight of case management programs, work plans and reports.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists in developing and revising policies and procedures to ensure National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Creates, documents and updates desktop procedures.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participates in health network oversight activities.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists with assessment activities and other process improvement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the case management department.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintains knowledge of current regulatory requirements and industry trends.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participates in internal and external committees, coalitions and events such as health fairs, as appropriate.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mentors, trains and manages a team of case managers and non-licensed staff.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Collaborates with other supervisors and managers in the department to improve processes and workflow.<\/p>\n

Do You Have What the Role Requires?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field or a current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of California required.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 3 years of experience in ambulatory case management required.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 1 year of managed care experience, preferably with Medicare and Medicaid\/Medi-Cal populations, required.<\/p>\n

\u2022 For RN’s, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health or another health care related field.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Active Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification.<\/p>\n
