Management Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As an Emergency Management Coordinator I, you will work with County departments, public safety agencies, community organizations, businesses, and residents to support all phases of emergency management: preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting in the development, review, and implementation of emergency operations plans, policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting disaster response and recovery operations from the County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or field command locations.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating emergency resources, personnel, equipment, and supplies during incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and conducting emergency exercises, drills, and training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Developing reports, emergency preparedness guides, public information materials, and operational briefings.<\/li>\n<li>Working with government agencies, schools, businesses, and community groups to improve disaster readiness.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring emergency situations and helping coordinate Countywide response efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Serving on a rotating Duty Officer schedule to support emergency operations and incident management.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting field assessments and supporting disaster recovery activities following emergencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications Needed<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option I<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in Homeland Security or Emergency Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option II<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree and two (2) years of experience supporting emergency management, emergency response, disaster recovery, or disaster preparedness programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option III<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Five (5) years of emergency management-related experience, including three (3) years at the Program Specialist I level or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Successful completion of the following Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) Independent Study Program courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS-100<\/li>\n<li>IS-120.C: An Introduction to Exercises<\/li>\n<li>IS-200.C: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS-200<\/li>\n<li>IS-230.E: Fundamentals of Emergency Management<\/li>\n<li>IS-235.C: Emergency Planning<\/li>\n<li>IS-240.C: Leadership and Influence<\/li>\n<li>IS-241.C: Decision Making and Problem Solving<\/li>\n<li>IS-242.C: Effective Communication<\/li>\n<li>IS-244.B: Developing and Managing Volunteers<\/li>\n<li>IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System<\/li>\n<li>IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An
