{"id":23476,"date":"2026-06-09T16:12:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T16:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/emergency-management-coordinator-iii\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T08:27:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T12:27:45","slug":"emergency-management-coordinator-iii","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/emergency-management-coordinator-iii\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergency Management Coordinator III"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emergency Management Coordinator III&#8217;s serve as senior professionals responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive emergency management programs and coordinating large-scale preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Researching, developing, analyzing, and maintaining complex emergency and disaster plans, policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Leading the planning, design, coordination, and execution of emergency exercises, drills, training programs, and recovery initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating emergency response operations from the County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and field command locations during incidents and disasters.<\/li>\n<li>Recommending and coordinating the deployment of personnel, equipment, supplies, and resources during emergency operations.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and leading disaster recovery efforts and facilitating Recovery Operational Area Coordination Meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Developing reports, operational briefings, correspondence, and emergency preparedness materials for stakeholders and decision-makers.<\/li>\n<li>Advising County departments, schools, businesses, community organizations, and partner agencies on emergency preparedness and resilience strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating emergency communications systems and emergency response resources.<\/li>\n<li>Training emergency services personnel and strengthening operational readiness across multiple agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising and leading Emergency Management staff, project teams, and workgroups.<\/li>\n<li>Serving as a rotating Duty Officer responsible for monitoring and coordinating Countywide emergency response activities.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting field operations, damage assessments, and disaster recovery efforts following emergency incidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications Needed:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option I<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in Homeland Security or Emergency Management; and<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in emergency management, emergency response, disaster recovery, or disaster preparedness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option II<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree;
