New York Habitat\u00a0<\/strong>(https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com<\/u>) is a successful, international real estate and\u00a0 travel agency. We specialize in the furnished rental, bed and breakfast, and vacation rental\u00a0 markets in New York, Paris, London and the South of France.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are looking for a highly motivated and positive individual to participate in our\u00a0Real Estate\u00a0 Internship Program<\/strong>. New York Habitat offers our interns a well-designed training program\u00a0 where they will learn the ins and outs of international real estate. We encourage our interns to\u00a0 contribute their ideas each week in order to develop new projects with the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Job Summary\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0The goal for this internship is to understand the structure of New York Habitat’s Product\u00a0 Management department. The intern will learn the services we provide, how the\u00a0 department interacts with clients and owners, and the company\u2019s positioning in the\u00a0 market for connecting local, out of state, and international travelers with\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

accommodations, through understanding the New York Habitat inventory of furnished\u00a0 rentals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Responsibilities and Duties\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Maintain and create listings\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Constructively communicate with owners to maintain our listings, creating\u00a0 listings in New York, London, Paris, and the South of France, from start to finish,\u00a0 including photo selection, descriptions & floorplan creation\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Update listings\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Learn how to ensure that all listing information is kept up to date and update the\u00a0 listings\u2019 availability\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Business and Financial Modeling\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Be involved in the promotion of the new pricing strategy and acquire in-depth\u00a0 knowledge about business and financial modeling in the field of Real Estate\u00a0\u2022\u00a0Participate in a scheduled oral language practice\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Be able to understand, interpret, record, and transmit information received when\u00a0 answering the New York Habitat phone line<\/p>\n

Performance Standards\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Based on New York Habitat\u2019s quality standards for Product Management, students\u00a0 will be trained and taught by real estate instructors\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Participate in classes with regard to the organization of the company and the\u00a0 current state of laws surrounding real estate marketing\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Learn how to communicate with owners and clients on an international level\u00a0o\u00a0Have hands-on training and receive a manual and videos to understand the use of NYH\u2019s own database\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Learn how to write daily and weekly reports for the assessment of his\/her\u00a0 progress\u00a0<\/p>\n

Skills and Education (KSAOs)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Mandatory\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Currently a student taking up a bachelor\u2019s degree in either Business, Real Estate,\u00a0 or related fields\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned work\u00a0o\u00a0Has exceptional communication and writing skills\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Can attain Academic Credits for the internship\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Can work remotely\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Desirable\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

o\u00a0Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned work\u00a0o\u00a0Must be detail-oriented\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Must be available between 9 am and 6 pm EST (New York Time)\u00a0<\/p>\n

o\u00a0Must be available at a minimum of\u00a0150 hours at 15h\/week<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n
