We\u2019re looking for a Counter Sales Associate<\/strong> to join our team in a role that balances high-energy customer interaction with meaningful operational support. A Counter Sales Associate<\/strong> will partner with our customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. You will serve as a trusted guide, advising customers<\/strong> on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects. By demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality, you help our customers<\/strong> pioneer new solutions in their own work.<\/p>\nResponsible for adherence to company policies<\/strong> including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.<\/p>\nProvides excellent customer service<\/strong> to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.<\/p>\nEnsures <\/strong>all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.<\/p>\nPartners with customers<\/strong> to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence.<\/p>\nManages order entry and processes transactions<\/strong>; assists the team with the reconciliation of deposits.<\/p>\nCoordinates <\/strong>via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.<\/p>\nContributes <\/strong>to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.<\/p>\nCoordinates the transfer of merchandise<\/strong> between locations to meet customer needs.<\/p>\nMaintains a positive work atmosphere<\/strong> by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.<\/p>\nStocks shelves and maintains <\/strong>welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.<\/p>\nCoordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\nHS Diploma<\/strong> or equivalent required.\u00a0<\/p>\n2-5 years<\/strong> of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (we also value an equivalent combination of education and unique life experience<\/strong>).<\/p>\nRegular attendance and punctuality<\/strong> are strict requirements for this role<\/p>\nExcellent customer servic<\/strong>e skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced setting.<\/p>\nExperience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.<\/p>\n
Attention to detail<\/strong> in handling transactions.<\/p>\nAbility to regularly lift and\/or move up to 75 pounds and move up to 150pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.<\/p>\n
Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.<\/p>\n
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\nA background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset.<\/p>\n
Ability to work independently and under some pressure<\/strong> to meet deadlines.<\/p>\nProficiency with Google<\/strong>, or MS Office<\/strong> Applications and SAP<\/strong> is a plus.<\/p>\nThe ability to communicate clearly and warmly<\/strong> with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
