{"id":20742,"date":"2026-06-10T19:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T19:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/computational-associate-ii-gerstner-center-for-cancer-diagnostics\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T11:57:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T15:57:53","slug":"computational-associate-ii-gerstner-center-for-cancer-diagnostics","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/computational-associate-ii-gerstner-center-for-cancer-diagnostics\/","title":{"rendered":"Computational Associate II &#8211; Gerstner Center for Cancer Diagnostics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.broadinstitute.org\/\"><strong>Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard<\/strong><\/a> is seeking an outstanding candidate for a Computational Associate II\u00a0position focused on developing novel liquid biopsy assays for cancer detection and monitoring based on\u00a0circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) within the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.broadinstitute.org\/gerstner-center-cancer-diagnostics\"><strong>Gerstner Center for Cancer Diagnostics<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Broad Cancer Program.\u00a0The Gerstner Center aims to develop blood biopsies, among other cancer diagnostics, that stand to benefit\u00a0millions of patients worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be principally responsible for implementing, optimizing, and applying bioinformatics\u00a0workflows to advance new technology development and the application of novel diagnostic assays to impactful\u00a0clinical studies.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent is expected to interface closely with a multidisciplinary team, performing analyses\u00a0that directly inform (i) new experiments in the lab, (ii) new ways to apply our technologies, and (iii) new insights\u00a0as to the predictive and prognostic power of our technologies in clinical studies, seeking to improve patient care.\u00a0This exciting position affords the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, medical\u00a0oncologists, and computational biologists, spanning the Broad Institute, MIT, Harvard, and Harvard-affiliated\u00a0hospitals.
