{"id":20683,"date":"2026-06-01T19:49:49","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T19:49:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/administrator-in-training\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T11:53:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T15:53:21","slug":"administrator-in-training","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/administrator-in-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Administrator in Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TLC Management is looking for their next Administrator in Training!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge of federal\/state regulations by spending a negotiable amount of time in all departments (Administration, Nursing, Dietary, Maintenance, Housekeeping\/Laundry, Therapy, Business Office, Admission\/Marketing and Activities) during the six-month training and gain oversight, organizational, management and instrumental leadership skills in order to operate a facility.<\/p>\n<p>The primary responsibility of the AIT is to gain an understanding of the functions of each department in order to\u00a0provide strong leadership for the facility. These functions include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be familiar with all operational details of the center. Provide direction to each department head within the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Function as the facility leader and final decision maker.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Regional Director, DON and Nursing Leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Practice motivational leadership techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Set an example of integrity and work ethic.<\/li>\n<li>Develop\/implement a plan of correction.<\/li>\n<li>Perform periodic performance monitoring for all direct reports that include evaluations, verbal counseling, disciplinary action and etc.<\/li>\n<li>Delegate appropriate tasks and assignments to department heads. Implement\/coordinate staff meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Recruit and hire staff. Handle labor relations.<\/li>\n<li>Implement\/oversee a manager on duty program.
