This position works days 7am-7pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registered Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrates medication administration skills: (minimal errors, timely med pass):<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates pharmacodynamics knowledge: (adverse effects, drug interactions, therapeutic response, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates knowledge of pathophysiology with particular emphasis on population served.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates skill with physical assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates timely follow through with client appointments, labs, and medical concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as patient advocate to monitor individualization of treatment, coordinate treatment plans, and work with treatment in effective and proactive manner.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates effective and respectful verbal communication skills with clients, co-workers, and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>Informs physicians of changes in client\u2019s condition (behavioral\/physical, abnormal labs\/vital signs, significant contact with others).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to complete required clinical documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Accurately documents and transcribes physician\u2019s orders<\/li>\n<li>Obtains staff input regarding safety\/security risks in making unit management decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Implements necessary restrictions ordered or as nursing measures when warranted by physical and\/or psychiatric conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates safety\/security on unit (verbal\/physical interventions (CPI), emergency codes, universal precautions, CPR, event reports, assessment of client risk factors).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates skill with documentation (PRN\u2019s, timely notation of orders, charting, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates skill with admission\/discharge process: (completes paperwork in a timely manner including assessment for pain, falls, and suicide risk).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates effective and timely written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates effective planning and organization skills.<\/li>\n<li>Uses the nursing process to manage and allocate personnel and unit resources, to assure completion of unit tasks, and to meet the needs of clients and milieu.<\/li>\n<li>Motivates nursing staff to grow professionally by acting as a role model in direct appropriate communication, professional accountability, and continuing education.<\/li>\n<li>Uses the nursing process to formulate individual treatment plans in consultation with unit staff, physicians, treatment team, and other disciplines; treatment plans are formulated toward psychosocial, medical, cultural, age-specific, and pain management needs.<\/li>\n<li>Good time management skills, including the ability to structure time, prioritize activities, and be self-motivated.<\/li>\n<li>Teaches, trains, and supervises clients and staff (empowering and teaching new responsibilities within acceptable limits).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.<\/li>\n<li>Meets with supervisor for clinical and administrative supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Works well with other departments and outside agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Attends or completes all mandatory nursing requirements required by hospital.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains professional boundaries.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates dependability with attendance, punctuality, availability, completion of duties in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates competence in use of electronic health record.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains current CPR and TB certification.<\/li>\n<li>Assumes Nursing on call shifts as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We are seeking Registered Nurse (RN) candidates with the following qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associates or Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Nursing required<\/li>\n<li>Non-probationary Indiana Licensed Registered Nurse required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Meridian Health Services provides Registered Nurse (RN) the following benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health, dental, vision plans<\/li>\n<li>Welcome Bonus $10,000!<\/li>\n<li>Merit Based Compensation Plan<\/li>\n<li>Voluntary benefits, including critical illness, short term disability, etc.<\/li>\n<li>401k with company contribution<\/li>\n<li>Generous PTO plan<\/li>\n<li>Wellness plan<\/li>\n<li>Life balance oriented organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>River Bend Hospital | North Central Health Services provides these additional benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition Reimbursement | Loan Payment<\/li>\n<li>NCLEX Exam Reimbursement (New Grads)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Drug screen, TB test, extensive background check, and fingerprinting are required of all Meridian employees.
