Optometric Vision Therapist (Training Provided)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Center for Vision Development is seeking a passionate full-time vision therapist to join our team<\/strong>. Founded in 2004, we are the longest-established vision therapy practice in Austin. Our team is led by highly trained developmental optometrists who specialize in vision therapy and are deeply committed to patient-centered care. We proudly serve patients of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Starting Pay: $18\u2013$25 per hour, depending on experience and relevant background.<\/p>\n

Work Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

Full-Time | Monday\u2013Friday<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Monday\u2013Thursday: 10:00am\u20137:00pm*<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Friday: 9:00am\u20136:00pm<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Lunch Break: 1 hour lunch break *1\u20132 weekdays may shift to 11:00am\u20137:00pm.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Complete in-house training. Training includes hands-on observation, independent study and reading, and written\/oral reviews to ensure a solid understanding of all material. Our team will support you every step of the way.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Provide high-quality vision therapy services in a friendly, professional, and patient-centered manner.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Work one-on-one with patients of all ages, with a primary focus on school-aged children.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Document session notes clearly and accurately after each patient visit.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Collaborate closely with our optometrists and fellow vision therapists to maintain the highest standard of care.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Administer, score, and input results from visual processing evaluations.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Communicate home activities, updates, and recommendations to patients and parents.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Maintain a clean, organized, and professional therapy room and clinic environment.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Support patients in achieving their goals and reaching their fullest potential.<\/p>\n

Related Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Relevant backgrounds that are especially valuable for this role include working with children, early childhood education, teaching or tutoring, physical therapy or PTA, occupational therapy or OTA, speech therapy, optometry or pre-optometry, and optician experience. Strong customer service experience is also highly beneficial, as this position relies on excellent communication and connection with patients and families.<\/p>\n
