          This administrative position exists in the County Department of Emergency Services and involves responsibility to assist in the management of the county emergency services function.\u00a0The incumbent coordinates\u00a0county\u00a0emergency\u00a0services\u00a0with\u00a0federal,\u00a0state\u00a0and\u00a0local\u00a0officials\u00a0in\u00a0preparation\u00a0and coordination of\u00a0response\u00a0to\u00a0disasters\u00a0and\u00a0emergencies.\u00a0Incumbent\u00a0acts\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Director\u00a0of\u00a0Emergency\u00a0Services\u2019\u00a0absence.           Assists\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0recruitment,\u00a0training\u00a0and\u00a0equipping\u00a0of\u00a0volunteers\u00a0for\u00a0emergency\u00a0preparedness\u00a0purposes including communications, fire, emergency medical and emergency management personnel;<\/p>\n
