We are seeking a Special Programs Lead<\/strong> to support our Service Without Boundaries Adult Day Program<\/strong> and lead evening programs such as Special Olympics, adaptive aquatics<\/strong>, and other recreational activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Special Programs Lead, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants. You\u2019ll provide program leadership and individualized support that promotes physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. This position supports the mission of the Y\u2014a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Monday\u2013Thursday: 8:30 AM \u2013 3:30 PM<\/p>\n \u2022 Up to 3 evening shifts per week<\/p>\n \u2022 Occasional weekend hours<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Lead and assist with adult day programming and evening recreational activities.<\/p>\n \u2022 Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of each participant.<\/p>\n \u2022 Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure safety and well-being of all participants during programs.<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with team members and attend required meetings and trainings.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Required: High school diploma or equivalent.<\/p>\n \u2022 Preferred: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and\/or physical disabilities.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to provide instruction and adapt activities based on participant needs.<\/p>\n \u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n \u2022 Willingness to attend trainings and obtain certifications as needed.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Why Join Us?<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Physical Demands:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.\u00a0 Individuals in this job may be subject to loud facilities and elements of weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
