Our team works directly with residents via door-to-door engagement to promote utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). By helping us meet clean energy mandates, you will contribute to a stronger local economy, healthier environment with cleaner air and water, and the overall protection of community interests.<\/p>\n<p><i>This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication &amp; Advocacy, Community Outreach &amp; Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Get paid well!<\/strong> Canvassing positions start at $22\/hour. Team Lead positions start at $23\/hour. Shifts run from 11:00 a.m.\u20137:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canvasser Responsibilities<\/strong> ($22\/hr):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner<\/li>\n<li>Deliver a compelling campaign message, collect complete survey answers from voters, and persuade voters to sign a clean energy pledge<\/li>\n<li>Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills<\/li>\n<li>Follow the campaign&#8217;s safety protocols<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team Leader Responsibilities<\/strong> ($23\/hr):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day<\/li>\n<li>Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful<\/li>\n<li>Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><strong>The ideal candidate:<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone<\/li>\n<li>Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible<\/li>\n<li>Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills<\/li>\n<li>Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community<\/li>\n<li><i>Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Apply here:<\/strong>\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theoutreachteam.net\/interest-form-tot\"><u>https:\/\/www.theoutreachteam.net\/interest-form-tot<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i>We are committed to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
