Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Deliver highly interactive experiences to groups of participants in the program and create experiences that promote success in specific program areas.<\/li>\n
  2. Organize, lead and adapt a variety of stimulating activities appropriate for the age and experience of the group with a positive and enthusiastic manner.<\/li>\n
  3. Maintain and use program resources efficiently and ecologically.<\/li>\n
  4. Provide safe conditions and refrain from engaging in activities that may be hazardous or negligent to those involved.<\/li>\n
  5. Keep the Program Director informed of activities and any progress of problems or questions related to the program.<\/li>\n
  6. Actively participate in all of the program activities.<\/li>\n
  7. Lead and facilitate lessons that teach, model and practice social emotional and content area skills.<\/li>\n
  8. Adapt lessons to the needs and experience of participants and engage all members of the group in ways that allow them to build their skills and confidence.<\/li>\n
  9. Complete evaluations with program participants and communicate results appropriately.<\/li>\n
  10. Maintain confidentiality of program participants.<\/li>\n
  11. Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments to enhance the outcomes and experience.<\/li>\n
  12. Provide direction and support to volunteers and\/or staff as assigned.<\/li>\n
  13. Attend assigned staff training.<\/li>\n
  14. Represent the YMCA and create a program culture that incorporates, highlights and models the Y values.<\/li>\n
  15. Maintain positive, professional communication with site contacts and\/or participant families.<\/li>\n
  16. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.<\/li>\n
  17. Experience working with target age groups and post-secondary education in program area is preferred.<\/li>\n
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
