The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to this class.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reporting to and at the direction of the Chancellor, works in partnership with the Chancellor, Chancellor&#8217;s Cabinet, executive management, and board leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to expand philanthropic support and to advance the culture of philanthropy for the District<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develops and directs a comprehensive fundraising program for the colleges, including the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors and a comprehensive strategy for corporate and foundation donors<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide leadership and work collaboratively with colleges to engage the Presidents, administrators, faculty, and staff in prioritizing their fundraising needs and collaborating in creative fund development strategies<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Represent the Foundation in the community, including as a regular presence with community groups and at various public events<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Increase the visibility of the Foundation in regional corporate, philanthropic, educational, and governmental communities to support Foundation fundraising goals<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop and implement a variety of fundraising strategies for soliciting major gifts, planning giving, corporate and foundation donations, and annual fundraising efforts<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure cohesion of Foundation publicity with the colleges&#8217; marketing and communications departments<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure cohesion of fundraising across the District and three campuses and develop a strategy for coordination of all fundraising for programs at the campuses<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oversee preparation of the Foundation&#8217;s Annual Report and all Foundation correspondence<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Support, implement, and promote compliance with the District&#8217;s Equal Employment Opportunity Plan in all aspects of employment and community relations; encourage cultural and ethnic diversity in staffing, programs, and services<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fiscal Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide fiscal management of the Foundation&#8217;s assets and disbursements and work to develop strategic funding programs, including the development of unrestricted programs<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure major fundraising events are fiscally sound, produce planned revenue after expenses, are profitable, and benchmarked with industry return on investment ratios<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Administer the Foundation&#8217;s annual budget and works with each College&#8217;s administration to coordinate the distribution of scholarship funds and other grants<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Budget for fund development activities and maintain financial records for grant and donor tracking<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oversee the preparation and filing of IRS 990 and meet all IRS non-profit reporting requirements and annual audit activities<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure that gifts are administered to honor donor intent and adhere to investment policies, scholarship criteria, and Foundation policies<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Plan and coordinate bi-monthly Board and committee meetings; coordinate Board of Director&#8217;s Investment Advisory Committee activities and serve as liaison to the Foundation&#8217;s financial advisors<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donor Cultivation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In consultation with the Chancellor and the campus Presidents, oversee all alumni initiatives including database development, quarterly e-newsletter publication, and Alumni Council recruitment<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide direction to create and design marketing materials and social media campaigns that will generate awareness of the Foundation, attract donors, and increase awareness of giving opportunities<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Attend events at the Colleges as necessary to further the Foundation&#8217;s fundraising, collaboration, and visibility goals<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Manage the Foundation&#8217;s communication with potential donors regarding the District&#8217;s history, achievements, goals and needs<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Encourage individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, and donations or bequests<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management of Foundation Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Hire, supervise, direct, and regularly evaluate the performance of the Foundation&#8217;s staff in accordance with District policy;
