As our platform continues to grow, we are also expanding into select brokerage and third-party real estate services, creating unique opportunities for young professionals to gain real-world exposure across multiple parts of the business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LRE &amp; Companies is seeking a high-performing student for a paid, in-person internship focused on real estate acquisitions, retail site selection, and development. This role is designed for someone who wants meaningful exposure to live deals and is serious about building a career in commercial real estate.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a passive internship. The right candidate will work directly with our team on active projects, market research, site evaluation, pipeline tracking, and real-world deal activity. We are looking for someone sharp, hardworking, curious, and eager to learn.<\/p>\n<p>This role is ideal for students interested in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>commercial real estate<\/li>\n<li>acquisitions<\/li>\n<li>development<\/li>\n<li>retail brokerage<\/li>\n<li>site selection<\/li>\n<li>real estate finance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research markets, retail corridors, and development opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Assist in identifying potential acquisition, redevelopment, and land opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Support site selection efforts for retail and restaurant users<\/li>\n<li>Help analyze demographics, traffic counts, access, visibility, competition, and surrounding land uses<\/li>\n<li>Prepare market summaries, site packages, and internal research materials<\/li>\n<li>Track leads, opportunities, and follow-up activity<\/li>\n<li>Assist with broker, property owner, tenant, and ownership research<\/li>\n<li>Support due diligence related to zoning, entitlements, ownership, and preliminary feasibility<\/li>\n<li>Help organize deal pipeline information and internal reporting<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with senior team members on live projects and active assignments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Strong academic performance<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable with research, outreach, and working in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Excel, Google Workspace, and basic presentation materials<\/li>\n<li>Strong interest in commercial real estate, retail development, acquisitions, or brokerage<\/li>\n<li>Based in the Bay Area or able to commute to San Rafael<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Gain<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct exposure to acquisitions and development<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with live real estate opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Mentorship from an active development team<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in market analysis, site evaluation, and deal process<\/li>\n<li>Meaningful responsibility and real project involvement<\/li>\n<li>Potential path to a future full-time opportunity for exceptional performers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a <strong>paid internship<\/strong>.
