This internship will contribute to projects related to business performance and innovation, customer experience, and financial analysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the redesign and reorganization of the organization\u2019s SharePoint site to improve functionality, accessibility, navigation, and overall user experience.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with improving the Agency\u2019s Business Systems by identifying root causes of existing system issues, impacts, and future change<\/li>\n<li>Support efforts to transform line department journey maps from static planning documents into active operational management tools<\/li>\n<li>Help develop the strategy and technical approach for integrating CX and operational performance data into an end-to-end journey management framework<\/li>\n<li>Identify data sources and metrics that can be surfaced within journey map contexts to support real-time insight for agency leadership and CX practitioners<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies for using journey insights to design more customer-centric facilities and services<\/li>\n<li>Develop 2-year implementation roadmap for Customer Experience Technology<\/li>\n<li>Gain understanding of current Customer Experience survey platform and features<\/li>\n<li>Work with departments to document their needs and desired future capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Estimate hours and associated budget needed to implement changes<\/li>\n<li>Support ongoing efforts to update and improve dashboards<\/li>\n<li>Assist in tracking project plans, milestones, deliverables, and schedules for projects tied to the agency\u2019s strategic working groups and customer experience programs<\/li>\n<li>Assist with special projects and assignments as needed\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship<\/li>\n<li>Major in Urban Planning, Architecture, Public Policy, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired\u00a0Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to working in the public sector<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently on complex assignments and to work in a fast-paced team environment on multi-disciplinary projects<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internship Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The start date is expected to be in July or August 2026<\/li>\n<li>This internship will require 36.25 hours\/week during the summer, then 30 to 36.25 hours\/week during the school year\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits interns to work remotely a maximum of one day per week. In person collaboration is essential to how the Port Authority conducts business and regular in-office days or team collaboration days may be required depending on business needs.
