What you will do:<\/p>\n
The Tooling Support Intern plays a vital role in supporting the Tooling Coordinator with the identification, organization and maintenance of the tooling for the shop.<\/p>\n
This role will assist with the tracking & storage, of tools and equipment, ensuring they are available when needed and properly maintained. This includes maintaining accurate records of tooling inventory & maintaining detailed records and inventory utilizing our system.<\/p>\n
This person will coordinate with the operations supervisor, tooling coordinator, production staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, timely completion of projects, and adherence to manufacturing specifications.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Inventory Management<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist with tool inventory control, organization, and accountability<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Issue, receive, inspect, and return tools using digital tracking systems<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Support calibration tracking and ensure tooling compliance<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Help stage tooling for maintenance work scopes and technician needs<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist with tool audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy projects<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Maintain tool room organization using 5S \/ lean principles<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Support shipping\/receiving of loaned or repaired tooling<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Identify damaged, missing, or out-of-service tools for disposition<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Maintain accurate records in systems such as tooling databases \/ ERP platforms<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Support special tooling projects, shadow tooling coordinators, and learn repair station processes<\/p>\n
\u2022 Tool Kitting<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Organization of tooling Per Engine Model<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Shadowing tooling into case and tool boxes<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Creating Inventory Sheets for Tool Cases and Tool Boxes<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
\u2022 Familiarity with general hand tools<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge with Word \/Excel \/ Power Point<\/p>\n
\u2022 SAP-preferred not required<\/p>\n
\u2022 High School Diploma<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong Organization Skills<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong Communication Skills<\/p>\n

\u2022 Currently enrolled in A&P school, recent graduate, or aviation maintenance student between semesters<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aviation maintenance operations<\/p>\n
\u2022 Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable<\/p>\n
\u2022 Comfortable with computers and inventory systems<\/p>\n
\u2022 Able to lift tooling\/equipment and work in an industrial environment<\/p>\n
\u2022 Interest in FAA repair station operations, tooling, quality, and maintenance support<\/p>\n
