When joining PPL, you become a part of a diverse team whose goal is to assist our residents and communities with the groundwork they need not only to survive but also to thrive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Career Coach is responsible for providing employment placement, retention, and career laddering services to participants and graduates of the Employment Training programs. This role\u00a0works closely with participants to identify career goals, build employability skills, overcome barriers to employment, and achieve long-term economic self-sufficiency. This role is rooted in PPL\u2019s commitment to equity, housing stability, and inclusive economic opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2705What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively with internal departments and community partners, including PPL financial coaches, employers and local colleges to implement employment training programs<\/li>\n<li>Provide one-on-one job placement support for graduates; work with caseload from 50-75 people<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate in-person and online classroom workshops\/sessions to enhance career readiness skills of participants<\/li>\n<li>Conduct enrollment meetings<\/li>\n<li>Connect participants to application process and working collaboratively with employer partners<\/li>\n<li>Provide ongoing support and guidance to graduates up to 12 months post placement into employment, connecting to resources and other services as necessary to address employment barriers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2705\u00a0<strong>What You Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of resume writing, cover letters, online interest\/skills inventories, and job searches<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer and database skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and data entry<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite including Word and Excel, Zoom, Teams and online meeting platforms<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work occasional evening hours as required<\/li>\n<li>Must have reliable transportation, valid driver\u2019s license and good driving record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and\/or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a01-2 years\u2019 experience in workforce development, non-profit or other human services field AND\/OR a BA\/BS degree in Human Services, Sociology, Social Work, or related field.
