Watch Attendant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The YMCA\u00a0of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a\u00a0<strong>Child Watch Attendant\u00a0<\/strong>to join our team.<\/p>\n<p>The YMCA\u00a0focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>As a\u00a0Child Watch Attendant, you will ensure a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years while parents are utilizing the YMCA facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Care for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years of age\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Monitor drop-off and pick-up of children<\/li>\n<li>Play actively with the children by adapting activities to the needs of each<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with parents regarding their children&#8217;s behavior and safety<\/li>\n<li>Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and order in the child watch area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you a good fit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.<\/li>\n<li>You have six months or more of related experience preferred.<\/li>\n<li>You have a positive attitude and previous experience with youth and diverse populations.<\/li>\n<li>You have knowledge and skills in program activities and related office equipment, and the ability to instruct participants in techniques.<\/li>\n<li>You have current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wage:<\/strong>\u00a0$17.13 to $17.36 per hour, depending on qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours:<\/strong>\u00a0Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Haselwood Family YMCA, Silverdale,
