Our students often come to us following\u00a0previous\u00a0placements through DCYF and benefit from a highly structured, trauma-informed environment focused on healing, growth, and individualized support.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Position Summary:\u00a0<\/strong>Curate, instruct, and manage digital and print resources, acting as both teacher and librarian to support 21st-century literacy. Key duties include teaching information literacy, managing media center resources,\u00a0instructing on\u00a0digital\u00a0tools\u00a0and collaborating with staff to integrate technology into the curriculum.\u00a0Responsible for teaching\u00a0students with significant emotional\/behavioral\u00a0needs in a clinical residential school setting. Develop and\u00a0monitor\u00a0student Individual Education Programs (IEP)\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0Department of Education regulations and standards.\u00a0\u00a0Works collaboratively with the management team to ensure safety, stability and professional guidance to\u00a0students\u00a0in our care that have been placed through the Department of Children, Youth and Families.\u00a0This is a part-time (30 hours a week),\u00a0year-round\u00a0position.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">We&#8217;d love to hear from you! We look forward to connecting with you online or over the phone!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Bachelors\u00a0Degree in Teaching or Education\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">RI certification as Teacher of regular or special education\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Knowledge base around subject matter\u00a0i.e\u00a0Media,\u00a0Art, Phys Ed, Science, Math, English, History\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Experience with children with behavioral\/psychiatric challenges\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Skilled in operating various\u00a0medical\u00a0record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Excellent multitasking and communication skills\u00a0a must\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Ability to work independently and part of a team<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Bilingual\/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Candidates with a master\u2019s degree will receive an additional $3,000.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Physical Requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Current driver\u2019s license, reliable transportation,\u00a0registration\u00a0and auto insurance\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Ability to communicate effectively\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Travel to and from community locations and office site, which could include using walkways,\u00a0stairs\u00a0and\/or elevators\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Ability to\u00a0lift up\u00a0to 20lbs\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Provide emergency coverage; ratio to the programs as needed.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Ability to be trained in and implement de-escalation techniques\u00a0utilizing\u00a0Handle with Care when necessary.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t meet every single requirement?<\/strong>\u00a0Here at FSRI, we\u2019re dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
