As a W.B. Mason Market Development Specialist, you\u2019ll be in charge of building relationships with local businesses to enroll them as customers and open up new categories by presenting W.B. Mason\u2019s web capabilities, catalogs, flyers and full range of products. Using a consultative approach, you\u2019ll help solve customer problems with personalized services and customized solutions to help their business thrive.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and proactive mindset, ready to take the initiative to succeed in a performance-driven environment. No previous Sales experience is required; experience in restaurant roles, such as serving or bartending, retail or customer service are preferred. A territory coverage opportunity, you must live local to your territory to be eligible for this position, and deep connections to the area are highly valued.<\/p>\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong>
\u2022Travel, by car and\/or walking, throughout assigned marketplaces to call on prospective customers to develop as clientele.
\u2022Distribute marketing material to current and prospective clients.
\u2022Display or demonstrate merchandise to develop customers\u2019 product knowledge.
\u2022Quote and provide contracted pricing as necessary.
\u2022Develop and maintain an outstanding working relationship with new customers to ensure customer satisfaction during the onboarding process.
\u2022Collaborate with Inside Sales specialists on converting lists of prospective customer sales leads.
\u2022Perform necessary account setup via MasonvilleGO to ensure customer success.
\u2022Seamlessly transition accounts to account management team.
\u2022Develop and maintain working relationships with Inside Sales, customers, and distribution staff.
\u2022Attend weekly Branch Sales Meetings.
\u2022All other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/u><\/strong>
\u2022Depending on location, may require reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
\u2022Outstanding communication skills
\u2022Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
\u2022Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
\u2022Ability to converse, read & write in English<\/p>\n

Education and\/or Experience<\/u><\/strong>
\u2022Prior experience in restaurant roles such as serving or bartending, retail sales or customer service are highly valued.
\u2022Bachelor\u2019s Degree (BS or BA) from a four-year college is a plus, but not required.<\/p>\n
