POSITION SUMMARY<\/u><\/p>\n
Ormat Interns will be involved in many aspects of power plant operations maintenance and engineering. This is a very flexible position designed to give the Intern a basic understanding of various technical aspects of the power generation industry. The Intern will receive preliminary orientation and training and then assigned to a variety of support tasks at various departments as required.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/u><\/p>\n
Perform routine or daily tasks in support of the department they are assigned to<\/p>\n
Perform basic technical calculations as required<\/p>\n
Complete reports and documentation as assigned<\/p>\n
Learn and contribute to various computer based programs<\/p>\n
Learn basic operating principles of the department(s) they are assigned to<\/p>\n
Actively contribute to problem solving and process improvements<\/p>\n
Must be able to travel to various work locations and operate a motor vehicle within onsite premises<\/p>\n
Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner<\/p>\n

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES<\/u><\/p>\n
Other responsibilities as assigned which may include but not be limited to computer applications, light mechanical or electrical maintenance<\/p>\n

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED<\/u><\/p>\n
Must have at least 2 years of college education towards an engineering degree<\/p>\n
Must be self-motivated<\/p>\n
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner<\/p>\n
Ability to work alone or in a team<\/p>\n
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties<\/p>\n
Must possess at any time a valid driver\u2019s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT\u2019s auto insurance carrier<\/p>\n

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/u><\/p>\n
Must be able to work in plant operating areas including exposure to noise, vibrations, heat and cold<\/p>\n
Must be able to wear any required protective equipment, as required by safety procedures and regulations<\/p>\n
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions and 50 pounds from the floor to the waist<\/p>\n
Job requires sitting and\/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling<\/p>\n
