{"id":17009,"date":"2026-05-28T15:11:40","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T15:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/building-community-through-urban-gardening\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T15:11:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T15:11:40","slug":"building-community-through-urban-gardening","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/building-community-through-urban-gardening\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Community through Urban Gardening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>Although this posting may display a longer availability window on Handshake due to system requirements, <strong>applications for this internship must be submitted by June 12th.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Description:<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>We are looking for a fellow to assist us with an upcoming urban agriculture project at Joe Taylor Park.\u00a0This will be a collaborative project between us and Baxter Community Center, and we\u2019ll be putting in 9 raised beds, planting an 8-10 tree fruit orchard, and doing a communal herb garden.\u00a0There is a significant community component to the project, and we\u2019d like assistance from a fellow with data collection, community engagement, and event planning.\u00a0 As the placement will be September-December, it would involve helping to plan a fall harvest event at the park and looking at outputs and outcomes from the 1st season and helping with data analysis and evaluation to prepare for year two.
