This in-office\/in-person, full-time position requires someone who is skilled not only with communication, scheduling, and logistics but also is able to connect with adults and students, alike.\u00a0The Beyond School Success Coach ACM must be very resourceful. The primary focus of the Success Coach\u2019s work with students revolves around the scholars\u2019 academic and social\/emotional growth and getting them to cultivate habits that will result in life-long success. They must be able to respond with positive, appropriate behavior, even in frustrating situations with at-risk youth.\u00a0Success Coach ACMs report to the Beyond School Site Coordinator and must be willing to take direction, voice ideas in a respectful manner, and function as a team member with other Beyond School team members.<\/p>\n<p>Now recruiting for Fall 2026 start!<\/p>\n<p>Apply: <a ACM<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in Beyond School Team meetings and Professional Development\/Service Trainings to develop and implement a high-quality program<\/li>\n<li>Service hours include: ~10:00 a.m.-6:45 p.m. Monday-Friday (including breaks); hours outside of direct service program times performed in-office and used for planning, admin, transportation, and meetings requiring no fewer than 40 hours\/week until mid July<\/li>\n<li>Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for our students, parents, staff, and volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate team to implement the Beyond School Culture Manual policies<\/li>\n<li>Uphold Beyond School student expectations<\/li>\n<li>Serve with fellow Beyond School team members as a consistent and fair disciplinarian for our students<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly, effectively, and kindly with parents<\/li>\n<li>Recruit students for the program<\/li>\n<li>Attend open houses\/parent conferences\/parent events, including Family Nights<\/li>\n<li>Plan weekly one-on-one sessions with individual students in order to provide individualized guidance and ongoing feedback<\/li>\n<li>Internalize and exhibit the Beyond School Mission<\/li>\n<li>Support and help complete all daily tasks that must be implemented for Beyond School<\/li>\n<li>Build meaningful relationships with your crew\u2019s teachers and support staff, communicating regularly with them in order to best support each student\u2019s needs both during the school day and program hours (i.e. pushing into a class during the school day if a student needs extra support)<\/li>\n<li>Guide and encourage volunteers serving in your crew in order to maximize student growth<\/li>\n<li>Transport students and supplies as needed, including transporting students home and to enrichment\/community service opportunities as well as deliveries to students\/families<\/li>\n<li>Obtain Class E driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Lead teach at least one Enrichment class<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement Crew Times (Social\/Emotional Learning time)<\/li>\n<li>Lead all aspects of Academic Time for your crew<\/li>\n<li>Track student classwork\/homework assignments and ensure students are completing assigned work<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Coordinator to develop and implement daily lessons in literacy and math<\/li>\n<li>Track and record student growth in Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>Track and record student grades and NWEA\/Star\/iReady scores in order to monitor student growth<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\/create each student\u2019s daily lesson plan and other necessary student materials<\/li>\n<li>As part of the Mission: St. Louis and AmeriCorps team, participate in company-wide activities, events, and various office-related duties as needed, including some weekend activities<\/li>\n<li>As a part of the Beyond School team, work on various projects as needed<\/li>\n<li>Attend school wide activities such as recitals and sporting events<\/li>\n<li>Additional responsibilities aligned with one of the following specializations: Volunteerism, Community Partnerships, Enrichments, Activities Coordination, Family Engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ideal Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience teaching and\/or managing programs for inner city students<\/li>\n<li>Class E driver\u2019s license and automobile to transport students<\/li>\n<li>Passion for and commitment to service<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to serve no less than 40 hours a week<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i>Kids don\u2019t scare you.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Not only do you like kids but you\u2019re able to manage them well\u2026even on the off chance that they\u2019re not listening or behaving.\u00a0(Do kids ever do that?)<\/p>\n<p><i>You are very flexible, even with last minute changes.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You have plans, but you are ready to adjust as needed when unforeseen obstacles arise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>You can bridge communities of different types of people.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You are not only comfortable with different types of people, you understand how to help them connect with each other.<\/p>\n<p><i>You can command attention.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>When things get chaotic, you can take control and redirect the situation.<\/p>\n<p><i>You are organized.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You can complete tasks and build systems and structures.<\/p>\n<p><i>You\u2019re a team player.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You can take direction, but you can also work with others to develop and carry out.\u00a0You can respectfully voice your own opinions while listening to the ideas of
