{"id":15587,"date":"2026-04-29T00:07:47","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/childcare-program-coordinator\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T00:07:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:07:47","slug":"childcare-program-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/childcare-program-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"Childcare Program Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a <strong>Childcare Program Coordinator<\/strong> to join our team!<\/p>\n<p>The YMCA focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>As the Childcare Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for Before and After School Programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive and direct communications with staff through incoming email, telephone calls, or in person. Respond to inquiries or refer as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in managing coverage schedules to ensure positive program experience.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to distributing, processing, and filing paperwork, records, reports, memos, correspondence, inventory, and resupply.<\/li>\n<li>Support efforts to manage the approved budget and curriculum ordering and distribution.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an orderly office environment to provide efficient service to staff. This includes filing, retrieval of records and prioritizing of workload.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate program information and progress as relevant.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all YMCA staff, school staff and community organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.<\/li>\n<li>Provide reports and rosters as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize purchase orders to order supplies and inventory as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the coordination of department and program events. special projects, training as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you a good fit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years of directly related experience to include computer skills, office\/administrative support, customer service, and school age childcare.<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in MS Office and database entry.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Salesforce database preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills are required.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated professionalism in both attitude and appearance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous and professional manner while working with members and staff and the ability to understand, articulate, and enforce YMCA policies and procedures in a positive way.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks.<\/li>\n<li>You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.<\/li>\n<li>Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wage:<\/strong> $20.06 to $20.60 per hour, depending on qualifications<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Part-Time, 29 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Locations:<\/strong>\u00a0Region 34 &#8211; YMCA Before and After School Programs, Tacoma, WA. Offices are located in Lakewood and Bremerton.\u00a0Travel is a requirement of this position.
