Interns will gain hands-on experience in campaign messaging, digital organizing, and copywriting.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We offer hybrid internships for students located near NJ-12, and remote internships for those who are out of state or not located nearby.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This internship is ideal for high-school and college students, along with recent graduates, who are seeking practical experience and mentorship from campaign professionals.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Interns have the opportunity to be considered for paid roles as the campaign grows. Participating in the internship program does not guarantee a paid position.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedule and Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Time commitment: 10-15 hours per week.<\/li>\n<li>Weekend and evening availability is preferred.<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create digital content, including graphics, flyers, and short-form video.<\/li>\n<li>Draft written communications such as email newsletters, social media posts, and messaging to support voter outreach efforts.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support digital organizing efforts, including promoting campaign events and converting social media support into volunteer action.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in voter outreach, including phone banking or canvassing.<\/li>\n<li>Review and clip relevant news segments, interviews, and articles.<\/li>\n<li>Perform additional duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in politics, communications, or organizing.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortability engaging with voters, volunteers, and supporters.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior campaign experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience creating digital or social media content.<\/li>\n<li>Bilingual or multilingual skills.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with NJ-12 (Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union Counties).<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Academic Credit and Professional Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic credit is available depending on your school\u2019s internship requirements.
