At ArchKey, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a career with a team helping power the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About the Position<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our summer<strong> Construction Technologies Internship<\/strong> provides hands-on experience with the <strong>design, estimating, coordination, installation, and project management of technology and low-voltage systems<\/strong> used in today\u2019s buildings. Working alongside experienced project and field teams, you\u2019ll see how these systems move from plans and specifications through installation, testing, and project completion.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the business group and project, you may gain exposure to <strong>voice\/data, video and security, audiovisual, nurse call, distributed antenna systems, fire alarm, and other technology systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>National Project Site<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This position is based on a National project site and is not tied to a specific ArchKey office location.<\/strong> The internship assignment may be located at an active project site anywhere in the United States, depending on business needs. For example, assignments may be located in markets such as <strong>Texas, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or other locations across the country.<\/strong> Interns should be prepared for temporary relocation and to work primarily at their assigned project site. Specific project location and assignment details will be shared during the interview process.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Day in the Life<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Construction Technologies Intern, you\u2019ll work alongside project managers, designers, and field teams to learn how technology systems are planned and delivered. You may:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review\u00a0<strong>technology drawings, specifications, plans, and system layouts<\/strong> and assist with design coordination.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with\u00a0<strong>estimating, takeoffs, proposals, material planning, and project budgets.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Support project teams with\u00a0<strong>submittals, RFIs, schedules, change orders, and project documentation.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Visit active jobsites to observe\u00a0<strong>system installation, quality, safety, testing, and commissioning.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with project managers, designers, field leaders, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and customers.<\/li>\n<li>Gain exposure to\u00a0<strong>BIM, CAD, Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, and other technology\/construction software,<\/strong> depending on the project.<\/li>\n<li>Learn how technology systems are coordinated with other building systems and integrated into the finished project.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with additional project activities based on business and project needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently enrolled in a degree program in <strong>Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Information Technology, Electrical\/Electronics Engineering, Business, or a related field.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Strong interest in <strong>technology systems, low-voltage construction, engineering, or project management.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively and learn in both office and jobsite environments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Prior construction, technology, electrical, or low-voltage experience is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with <strong>Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, Revit, CAD, BIM, or similar software<\/strong> is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Travel<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Travel and temporary relocation to the assigned National project site may be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At\u00a0ArchKey\u00a0Solutions, our benefits package includes competitive health insurance options (medical, dental, and vision), a robust 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holidays, and access to wellness programs.
