Spring Cambridge KiOSK Internship<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Location:<\/strong> 0 Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts\u00a0<\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong>\u00a012\u201320 hours per week for 10\u201312 weeks, roughly January\u2013May<\/p>\n

Stipend:\u00a0<\/strong>Up to $800 (dependent on other external funding)<\/p>\n

Deadline:<\/strong> Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with preference to those submitted by 5 pm on Friday, November 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

Job description<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Spring Cambridge KiOSK Intern will support KiOSK operations through staffing, content creation, communications, and storytelling. The primary focus will be working onsite as a steward and ambassador for the public space.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities include:<\/i><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Staffing the KiOSK at least one day per week (4.5\u20139 hours, preferably Wednesday or Thursday)\n
      \n
    • Collaborate with other KiOSK staff and Cambridge Office for Tourism volunteers to greet visitors and answer questions<\/li>\n
    • Share relevant information about CultureHouse and upcoming programming<\/li>\n
    • Perform data collection<\/li>\n
    • Capture photo and video content\u00a0<\/li>\n
    • Help set up and breakdown events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Content creation (3-6 hours)\n
        \n
      • Create new posts and reels, promoting opportunities for engagement, and supporting our overall digital presence<\/li>\n
      • Draft and edit content for weekly newsletters\u00a0<\/li>\n
      • Update information for upcoming programming on the website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        About you<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        If you are passionate about creating welcoming community spaces, you\u2019re in the right place. We are looking for a self-starter who is exceptionally organized and is excited to work in a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n

        Required qualifications:<\/i><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Legally authorized to work in the US<\/li>\n
        • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and willingness to get dirty!<\/li>\n
        • Experience working with in a people-facing role and\/or stewarding a public space (ex: serving or hosting at a restaurant, welcoming visitors at a museum, conducting intake for clients at a resource center)<\/li>\n
        • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills<\/li>\n
        • Exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to create structure for others to follow<\/li>\n
        • Comfortable taking initiative and working through problems\/unknowns<\/li>\n
        • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style<\/li>\n
        • Commitment to social justice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Other preferred experience and qualifications:<\/i><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Experience with copywriting, photo\/video editing, and\/or graphic design\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Background and\/or interest in urban design, urbanism, or related field<\/li>\n
          • Knowledge of DEI frameworks and cultural competency<\/li>\n
          • Passion for grassroots progressive political change and shifting power to underrepresented communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
