To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as a Station Training Supervisor in our Ground Handling Department<i>. <\/i>The primary responsibility of the position is providing quality on-the-job training to our new team members and continuous learning for our team members in the station. This includes demonstrating proper use of all equipment and vehicles along with hands-on de-icing training and follow up. The successful candidate will have two years of airline experience, preferably encompassing all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp). This position will report to Station Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assign a variety of tasks and assignments to new hire employees, including airport familiarization<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate proper use of all equipment and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Provide hands-on training for de-icing<\/li>\n<li>Follow up after all training events to ensure compliance<\/li>\n<li>Assist with delivery and storage of station supplies<\/li>\n<li>Provide support when special events are scheduled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Qualifications and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years of airline experience, preferably encompassing all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp)<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<li>Ability to defuse conflicts among team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experienced instructor or public speaker<\/li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Aviation, Education, or related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment<\/li>\n<li>Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels<\/li>\n<li>All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and\/or irregular shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs<\/li>\n<li>Handle objects up to 70 pounds<\/li>\n<li>Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required for this position.
