If you&#8217;re ready for a challenging and rewarding career with an opportunity for advancement, we are waiting for you.\u00a0<strong>The starting salary for this position is $56,160.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Among the duties [expected of Spurwink Special Education Teachers] are planning and delivering instruction, implementing goals for Individual Education Plans and monitoring progress, coaching, providing behavior management aligned with an integrated therapeutic model, creating and maintaining a classroom culture that supports the therapeutic model, and providing oversight of Educational Technicians III assigned to their classrooms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must have a bachelor&#8217;s degree and Maine State certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282 Birth &#8211; 5 yrs) or be eligible for 282 certification.
