New York Habitat\u00a0<\/strong>(https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com<\/u>) is a successful, international real estate and\u00a0 travel agency. We specialize in the furnished rental, bed and breakfast, and vacation rental\u00a0 markets in New York, Paris, London and the South of France.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are looking for a highly motivated and positive individual to participate in our\u00a0Real Estate\u00a0 Internship Program<\/strong>. New York Habitat offers our interns a well-designed training program\u00a0 where they will learn the ins and outs of international real estate. We encourage our interns to\u00a0 contribute their ideas each week in order to develop new projects with the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Job Identification
\u2022 Position Title: Real Estate Assistant Internship
\u2022 Department: Product Management
\u2022 Position Level: Entry-Level Internship
\u2022 Pay \/ Salary Range: Unpaid<\/p>\n

Job Summary
\u2022 The goal for this internship is to understand the structure of New York Habitat’s
Product Management department. The intern will learn the services we
provide, how the department interacts with clients and owners, the company\u2019s
positioning in the market for connecting local, out of state and international
travelers with accommodations, through understanding the New York Habitat
inventory of furnished rentals.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities and Duties
\u2022 Maintain and create listings
o Constructively communicate with owners to maintain our listings,
creating listings in New York, London, Paris, and the South of France,
from start to finish, including photo selection, descriptions & floorplan
creation
\u2022 Update listings
o Learn how to ensure that all listing information is kept up to date and
update the listings\u2019 availability for Paris apartments<\/p>\n

\u2022 Business and Financial Modeling
o Be involved on the promotion of the new pricing strategy and acquire
an in-depth knowledge about business and financial modeling in the
field of Real Estate<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participate in a scheduled oral language practice
o Be able to understand, interpret, record, and transmit information
received when answering the New York Habitat phone line<\/p>\n

Performance Standards
\u2022 Based on New York Habitat\u2019s quality standards for the Product Management,
student will be trained and taught by real estate instructors
o Participate to classes with regards to the organization of the company
and the current state of laws surrounding real estate marketing
o Learn how to communicate with owners and clients on an
international level<\/p>\n

o Have hands on training and receive a manual and videos to
understand the use of NYH\u2019s own database
o Learn how to write daily and weekly reports for the assessment of
his\/her progress<\/p>\n

Skills and Education (KSAOs)
\u2022 Mandatory
o Currently a student taking up a bachelor\u2019s degree in either Business,
Real Estate, or related fields
o Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned
work
o Has exceptional communication and writing skills
o Can attain Academic Credits for the internship
o Can work remotely
\u2022 Desirable
o Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned
work
o Must be detail-oriented<\/p>\n

o Work from home (Remote)<\/p>\n

Other Relevant Information
\u2022 Interests
o Has shown interests in learning the ins and outs of both international
real estate and project management<\/p>\n

\u2022 Work Schedule
o Must be available between 9am and 6 pm EST (New York Time)
o Must be available at a minimum of 3 months at 10-15h\/week<\/p>\n
