About the Opportunity<\/h3>\n

BeaconFire Solutions Inc. is based in Central New Jersey and specializes in Software Development, Web Development, and Business Intelligence.<\/p>\n

We are looking for a strong AI Engineer with experience in Python, RAG systems, and agentic AI development. In this role, you will help design and productionize AI-powered applications using Google Cloud and Vertex AI, build reliable tool-using agents, and work with vector and graph databases.<\/p>\n

You will have the opportunity to work across the full AI application lifecycle \u2014 from data ingestion and retrieval to agent orchestration, evaluation, deployment, and production optimization.<\/p>\n

What You’ll Do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Design and develop AI-powered web applications using Python, Flask, Django, and related technologies.<\/li>\n
  • Build and productionize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using Google Cloud and Vertex AI.<\/li>\n
  • Work with technologies and concepts including chunking, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, reranking, and grounding.<\/li>\n
  • Design and implement agentic AI workflows, including tool\/function calling, planning, reflection, guardrails, and structured outputs.<\/li>\n
  • Work with Python-first AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.<\/li>\n
  • Work with vector databases and vector search technologies for AI applications.<\/li>\n
  • Explore and implement knowledge graph-based retrieval and graph databases where appropriate.<\/li>\n
  • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support AI-powered applications.<\/li>\n
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and quality improvement.<\/li>\n
  • Define and run AI evaluation processes, including retrieval metrics, answer quality, hallucination detection, and grounding checks.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor and continuously improve the quality, reliability, and performance of AI systems.<\/li>\n
  • Deploy AI applications to production with appropriate monitoring, observability, CI\/CD, security, and cost\/performance optimization.<\/li>\n
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization.<\/li>\n
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and Python development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We’re Looking For<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Experience with Python 3 and software development.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with version control tools such as Git.<\/li>\n
    • Experience building RAG solutions, including retrieval, chunking strategies, embeddings, reranking, prompting, and structured outputs.<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with at least one agentic AI framework, such as LangGraph\/LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of tool\/function calling and agentic workflow patterns.<\/li>\n
    • Solid understanding of vector search concepts and experience with at least one vector database.<\/li>\n
    • Strong engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, telemetry, security, and reliability.<\/li>\n
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a software engineering environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.<\/li>\n
      • 1+ year of professional experience in Python web application development.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with Flask or Django.<\/li>\n
      • Experience developing RESTful APIs in Python.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with Vertex AI and GCP, including IAM, logging\/monitoring, Cloud Run\/GKE, and cloud storage.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with knowledge graphs for RAG, including entity linking, graph traversal, and retrieval fusion.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with streaming\/messaging technologies such as Pub\/Sub or Kafka.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with document processing pipelines such as Document AI.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with multilingual retrieval.<\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with evaluation tools such as RAGAS, TruLens, or custom evaluation frameworks.<\/li>\n
      • Experience with prompt and version management.<\/li>\n
      • Basic experience with frontend technologies such as React or Next.js.<\/li>\n
      • Experience building internal developer tools or AI platform enablement solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
