About the Role<\/h2>\n

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ukulele Instructor<\/strong> to lead an engaging after-school music enrichment program for young learners.<\/p>\n

You’ll introduce students to the fundamentals of ukulele through hands-on lessons, simple songs, games, and interactive activities. The goal is to make music approachable and enjoyable while helping students build confidence as they learn to play.<\/p>\n

You do not need to be a professional musician or traditional classroom teacher<\/strong> to apply. If you play ukulele confidently, enjoy working with children, and can make beginner-level music instruction fun and easy to follow, we’d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided<\/strong>, giving you a clear structure while allowing you to bring your own personality, creativity, and teaching style to the classroom.<\/p>\n

What You’ll Do<\/h2>\n

  • Lead engaging, beginner-friendly ukulele classes<\/li>\n
  • Teach basic chords, strumming, rhythm, and playing techniques<\/li>\n
  • Introduce students to simple songs and musical exercises<\/li>\n
  • Demonstrate techniques clearly and break concepts into manageable steps<\/li>\n
  • Use games and interactive activities to keep students engaged<\/li>\n
  • Encourage students to practice, experiment, and develop musical confidence<\/li>\n
  • Adapt instruction to different abilities and levels of experience<\/li>\n
  • Create a positive, welcoming, and supportive learning environment<\/li>\n
  • Encourage creativity, participation, and teamwork<\/li>\n
  • Provide positive feedback and celebrate student progress<\/li>\n
  • Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment<\/li>\n
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff<\/li>\n
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to make music with students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n

    We’re looking for someone who:<\/p>\n

    • Has strong ukulele-playing skills<\/strong> and can confidently demonstrate basic techniques<\/li>\n
    • Enjoys music and working with young learners<\/li>\n
    • Can teach beginner-level chords, rhythm, and playing techniques<\/li>\n
    • Is patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging<\/li>\n
    • Is comfortable leading groups of students<\/li>\n
    • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n
    • Can adapt instruction for different learning styles and experience levels<\/li>\n
    • Is reliable, professional, and organized<\/li>\n
    • Can follow provided curriculum while bringing creativity to the classroom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Experience in music instruction, performing, tutoring, mentoring, camps, youth programs, or education<\/strong> is a plus.<\/p>\n
