This internship offers hands-on experience in technical research, applications and customer support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Technical Applications Intern will support basic technical research, customer requirements, product information, documentation and demonstrations. The intern will prepare work for review; final technical recommendations and customer responses will remain with experienced Koehler employees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research ASTM, ISO, IP and other test methods using materials provided by the team.<\/li>\n<li>Compare customer requirements with Koehler datasheets, manuals, specifications and available configurations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare draft product comparisons, technical tables, equipment lists and customer responses for review.<\/li>\n<li>Help organize and update datasheets, manuals, application notes, product files and technical reference materials.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with product demonstrations, webinars, training materials, sample preparation and basic laboratory setup.<\/li>\n<li>Attend selected customer or internal meetings, take clear notes and organize action items and follow-up questions.<\/li>\n<li>Update technical request logs, project trackers and CRM records, then escalate unclear requirements, safety concerns or complex questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Performance Measurables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research tasks and draft technical responses completed by the agreed due date.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy and completeness of product comparisons, equipment lists and documentation before review.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstration, webinar and laboratory support tasks completed as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Technical request logs, project trackers and CRM records kept current with clear next steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current student or recent graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field.<\/li>\n<li>Strong research, technical writing and attention-to-detail skills.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable reading specifications, test methods, tables, manuals and technical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Organized, dependable and willing to ask questions when requirements are unclear.<\/li>\n<li>Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; laboratory experience is helpful but not required.
